Thin Holiday Trees
There have been a lot of crafts going on at this house over the holidays. This design was created from a challenge, if you will, to design and make a thin “modern” Christmas tree. You will need: an X-acto knife, some craft foam sheets, and some bamboo skewers. First cut the foam into a fun flowing pattern, like that shown in the picture. Then push the skewer through the foam cut outs near the middle of the pattern – allowing it to gather is fine and actually recommended. Once you have punctured the pattern all the way to the top, you slide the parts down the stick until you end up with the top picture. When done with this year’s festivities, just slide the pattern off and pack flat.
