Design Expo Raleigh is looking for excellent examples of the Interior Design that is being created here in the Triangle. If you are an interior designer and have a great project you want to show off, please submit it to us for review. Download the Interior Design Form to enter on this page. We have several categories for which we are accepting applications.
Entry Categories:
- Commercial/Hospitality (offices, industrial facilities, corporate offices, conference centers, hotels/resorts, country clubs, athletic clubs, convention centers, etc.)
- Institutional (government agency, public libraries, prisons, fire/police/emergency stations, etc.)
- Residential (single family homes, new construction, restoration, condos, apartments, renovation, etc.)
- Retail (shopping centers, salons, department stores, specialty stores, boutiques, furniture galleries, etc.)
- Student Work
Submission Requirements
- You live, go to school, or work within the Research Triangle Region (i.e., the greater Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area)
- You are least 18 years of age
- You are the original creator of the design
- You have not copied anyone else's work
- If the design has been created for a second party, you have the rights to show the design to the public
- Project installation must have been completed after January 1, 2004 Project installations completed prior to January 1, 2004 are not eligible.
- The names of the entrant, any members of the design team, the project, and client or project location should not appear on photography or anywhere in the Entry Kit, except in the Concealed Identification Form.
- If entry is accepted, two to four 20 x 15 boards with images and project name and location will be required for display at the Exhibition. Images are to be dry mounted on 3/16 black gator board. Images should include plan and photographs of actual project.
- Accepted entrants will also be required to furnish a B/W photo of the main designer(s), and a brief written statement about the project, as well as the designer(s). Submission details will be in the Letter of Offer to Exhibit.
- Submission criteria must be typed, font size 10 pt, spacing 1.5.
- Entry kits and materials become the property of Design Expo Raleigh upon submission and will not be returned.
What to Submit:
- Each submission will include 2 CD copies of the submission and 1 sealed envelope.
- The sealed envelope should include:
- Concealed Identification Form (see downloadable PDF)
- Project Description
- Waiver Form
- Photography Release Form
Both copies of the submission CD should include:
- Project Floor Plan, Photos, Photo Key
- Project Statement
- File Index
Fees:
Application review fees:
$15/entry for Student Submission
$25/entry for Professional Submission
Participation fee (due after project has been accepted with other paperwork and images):
$35/entry for Student Submission
$75/entry for Professional Submission
