The Other Edge, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary firm specializing in industrial design, marketing, product strategy, research, graphic design, and product management with manufacturing resources in North America and China. Principals:
Donald Corey, IDSA
Donald is the President of The Other Edge Design Studio and received a Bachelors of Industrial Design from Auburn University and a Masters of Industrial Design from North Carolina State University. His award winning designs have been on display at numerous exhibitions, galleries and retail venues throughout the United States and Australia. He holds multiple United States’ Utility Patents and Trademarks. Presently he is an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He is also the founder and director of DXR (www.dxraleigh.com).
Vanese Clough
Vanese received her Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from Southern Illinois University. Her need to design has manifested itself in working with interiors, furniture, soft goods, and stained glass. But, her career has focused on not just the artistic vein of design, as she has had extensive experience working with manufacturers to streamline their engineering and production processes. That balance between the artistic and technical sides of design has given her great insight into having products successfully produced both in the USA and abroad.

Michael Rall, IDSA
Michael Rall, IDSA, received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Drafting and Design from Appalachian State University and a Master of Industrial Design from North Carolina State University. Michael’s industrial design work ranges from modern furniture pieces to houseware items. His award winning nightstand “Echo” has been shown at numerous design exhibitions and conferences including Zona Tortona in Milan, Italy in 2009. Presently he is a Lecturer of Industrial Design at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
